Google Tag Manager

  1. 1In GTM, go to Tags → New → Tag Configuration → Custom HTML.
  2. 2Paste the snippet below into the HTML box.
  3. 3Under Triggering, choose the built-in “All Pages” trigger.
  4. 4Save, then click Submit / Publish.

Prefer one click? Use the “Download GTM container” button above, then in GTM go to Admin → Import Container → choose the file → Merge.

How to confirm it's working

After publishing, open any page of your site with a test parameter (e.g. ?utm_source=chatgpt.com) or arrive from an AI engine. Within a minute, the attribution panel in your dashboard flips to “✓ Installed & receiving data.” From there you'll see visits and conversions broken down by subreddit and by AI engine.
